Cooking Up a Storm

I was really busy last weekend, unfortunately, not on scrapbooking.  My husband is in charge of the Men's group at church and since he had to work, I did a lot of cooking for their Men's Day Program.  I baked 2 pound cakes, 2 coconut cakes, a red velvet cake, a chocolate cake, and a lemon cake.  All from scratch.  I also made peas, neckbones, turnip greens, cornbread and 30 pounds of pork roasts.  But, thank God I did not have to end up cleaning 100 pounds of chicken like I normally do.  The men actually took care of the chicken.  I must say the program turned out well and I think everyone got their fill.  Oops, forgot to take pictures, was way too busy.

For those waiting, I will get some layouts posted.  Have a great day.  Remember scrapbooking is on HSN today, the tsv is the Cricut Expression 2.

DID YOU KNOW?

Have you seen the new chip decor at HL?  The new chipboard decorative letters and words that has taken up about a half of one of the scrapbook aisles.

Well, guess what!!!! There is a HL exclusive cartridge that goes with those letters and words.  I know many don;t like the chipboard letters because they can sometimes be difficult to cover, but Cricut and HL have gotten together and made decorating with chipboard so much easier.   I just got the cartridge and already have some of the chipboard, and will hopefully get to share some completed projects soon.

Take a moment to check out the great variety of decorative chipboard and the new Cricut Cartridge.

New Blog

Hi everyone.  I am new to blogging and thought I would just post a hello.  I hope to use this blog to share some of my projects, hopefully completed projects.  I am an avid crafter, but it seams like scrapbooking has taken over my life.  I have recently gotten back into sewing , and have made several purses, mostly with Alabama and Auburn fabrics.  I also hope to post some critiques about products out there as I am a gadget junkie and love gadgets, both in the crafting world and in the kitchen.  I will share my thought on some of the products I have jumped in and purchased, whether they were a good purchase or a bad one.  I am also a Cricut Junkie.  I have a tough time scrappin without my cricut, and will share some hints and ideas about that too.  Well, for those that will follow me, welcome and I hope to make it worth your while.  Thanks.
