Purses

I go through phases of wanting to get some sewing done, since that was my first passion for a long time.  So... what I did was make some purses.  Since I am in Alabama, I figured I would focus on the two teams that have divided my household...Alabama and Auburn.  I am neutral.  My husband went to Alabama so of course he is a die-hard Alabama fan.  One of my son's is an Alabama fan and the other is an Auburn fan.  I think my oldest is an Alabama fan also... As I said divided.

It may look like I did more Auburn purses, but I sold or gave away some of the Alabama purses. LOL

Another Large Wallet

I am teaching a class on the large wallet and created some written instructions for making the wallet and wanted to check out how accurate the instructions are so I created another wallet.  I used a page kit from Hobby Lobby about pregnancy and then used some of the left over paper to create a toilet tissue mini.

I went a little crazy with embossing folders, but I loved the texture they added to the mats.
Here is the toilet tissue mini...It is not complete but I thought I would give a little peek.

Halloween Paper Bag Album

I am going to be teaching some ladies at our local library how to scrapbook and wanted to give them an example of different ways to scrap.  I created this Paper Bag Album on a whim.  I used the small paper bags from Hobby Lobby.  I am a good hour from a Michael's, so I wanted to keep the materials in line with what is available locally.  It was fun to do, and because I used the small bags, I was able to use a Halloween Mat stack to complete the album.  The mat stack was 6 1/2" x 4 1/2".  The size worked out really well.  I covered the album covers in black paper and then used some Halloween fabric to cover it again.  I love how the fabric looks on the covers.  I just finished the inside of the covers afterwards with plain black paper.  The embellishments were stickers I have had FOREVER.  Some were so old that I had to add adhesive to them.  LOL.  I also used my punches, both Martha Stewart and EK Success. The frame on the cover came from Michael's dollar bin.  I tried some new things, like the flip.  Love it, and will definitely incorporate the flip on some of my other projects.  It is a great way to add several pictures to a layout or a page in a mini.  Hope you enjoy looking at this project, it is pretty photo intense.

Christmas Wallet

I have been a scrapbooking fiend.  I only want to play with my paper lately. I made this large Christmas wallet inspired by Jennings644.  This wallet would make a wonderful gift for anybody.  You could make it as a Christmas wallet, as I did, or birthday, new baby, or whatever.  The possibilities are endless.  It is a great way to use up some of the page kits we buy from Hobby Lobby when they are on sale.  I used some paper I got at a yard sale called Holly Jolly by My Minds Eye.  I also threw in one sheet of paper that I believe is from the I Believe collection by Bo Bunny.  The yard sale paper only had a few sheets of paper and I just needed one more sheet that kind of matched.  I loved how it came out.

I am teaching a class at my local Hobby Lobby (Cullman on October 27) on making this Wallet.  Can you believe Christmas is only about 10 weeks away.  I am working on a baby version of this wallet. Will probably use ribbon as a closure for a softer touch, we will have to wait and see.  Thanks for checking it out.
